VINS WINE LLC — Purchase Options & Cancellation Policy

This Purchase Options & Cancellation Policy explains how you can change or cancel purchases that may be offered as subscriptions, pre-orders, deposits, or other purchase options on our website (the “Website”). This policy is incorporated into, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service, Shipping Policy, and Refund/Return Policy.
IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT “PRIVATE CELLAR” / KOREA FORWARDING:
Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, VINS fulfills orders within the United States to a U.S. delivery address you provide (including a third-party freight forwarder’s U.S. address). VINS is not the exporter, carrier, or importer of record for the international leg. Any export/import, customs clearance, duties/taxes, and international delivery are handled by you and your chosen forwarding/purchasing-agent service (“Forwarder”) under the Forwarder’s terms.
1) SUBSCRIPTIONS (IF OFFERED)
Some items or services may be offered as a subscription (for example: a membership program, recurring service access, recurring credit top-ups, or other recurring purchase arrangements) (“Subscription”).
1.1 Billing & Renewal
- When you purchase a Subscription, you authorize recurring charges at the price, frequency, and term disclosed at checkout (e.g., monthly or annual).
- Unless stated otherwise at checkout, Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled.
- Your payment method may be stored securely by our payment processor for recurring billing.
1.2 How to Cancel / Change a Subscription
You may cancel or change a Subscription at any time using one of the following methods:
- Self-serve: Use the link in your order confirmation email (or your customer account page) to manage your Subscription; or
- Email: Contact us at hello@vinswine.co with your order number and the email used at checkout.
We will process Subscription cancellation requests as promptly as reasonably possible and, where required by law, will provide confirmation of cancellation.
1.3 Effect of Cancellation
- Cancellation stops future renewals/charges after the end of the then-current billing period, unless we confirm an earlier effective date in writing.
- Except where required by law or in cases of VINS error, fees already charged for the current billing period are generally non-refundable once the period begins.
- If a Subscription includes physical shipments, any shipment that has already been fulfilled or tendered to the carrier is not cancelable and is governed by our Refund/Return Policy and Shipping Policy.
1.4 Renewal Reminders (Where Required)
For certain Subscription terms (including some annual plans), we may send a renewal reminder email before renewal where required or as a courtesy. Please ensure your account email is accurate and that you check spam/junk folders.
2) PRE-ORDERS, ALLOCATIONS, AND OUT-OF-STOCK ITEMS
Some products may be offered as a pre-order, allocation, or “coming soon” item (“Pre-Order”). A Pre-Order may include rare/allocated wines, future releases, or items not yet in inventory.
2.1 Payment for Pre-Orders
At checkout, we will disclose whether:
- we charge the full amount immediately; or
- we charge a partial deposit now and charge the remaining balance later; or
- we authorize your payment method and capture payment at fulfillment.
If a deposit is collected, it will be applied toward the purchase price unless stated otherwise.
2.2 Estimated Timing; Changes
Estimated ship/availability dates are estimates and may change due to supplier delays, allocation changes, weather holds, compliance restrictions, or other operational factors. We do not guarantee a specific delivery date for Pre-Orders.
2.3 How to Cancel a Pre-Order
You may request cancellation of a Pre-Order that has not been fulfilled by contacting hello@vinswine.co with your order number.
- If the Pre-Order has NOT been fulfilled (i.e., we have not tendered it to the carrier and have not delivered it to your designated U.S. address), we will generally cancel and refund captured payments or deposits, except for any non-refundable third-party processing fees or unrecoverable costs that were clearly disclosed at checkout (if applicable) and to the extent permitted by law.
- If the Pre-Order HAS been fulfilled or delivered to your designated U.S. address (including a Forwarder’s U.S. address), it cannot be canceled and will instead be handled under our Refund/Return Policy (if eligible).
3) “TRY BEFORE YOU BUY”
VINS does not currently offer a “try before you buy” program for alcoholic beverages. If we introduce any such program in the future (where legally permitted), we will update this policy and disclose the applicable authorization period, return window, and charge timing at checkout.
4) ORDER CANCELLATIONS (NON-SUBSCRIPTION / STANDARD ORDERS)
4.1 Cancellation Window
You may request cancellation of a standard (non-subscription) order only before it is fulfilled (i.e., before it is tendered to the carrier or delivered to the destination address you provided). To request cancellation, email hello@vinswine.co immediately with your order number.
4.2 No Cancellation After Fulfillment
Once an order is fulfilled, shipped, or delivered to your designated address (including a Forwarder’s U.S. address), it cannot be canceled. Any eligible issues must be addressed under our Refund/Return Policy.
4.3 Weather Holds / Storage Holds
If your order is on a weather hold or storage hold at your request, you may request cancellation during the hold period. Any approved cancellation may be subject to restocking fees and/or unrecoverable costs as described in our Refund/Return Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
5) FORWARDER / PRIVATE CELLAR SPECIFICS (U.S. DELIVERY = FULFILLMENT)
For Private Cellar / forwarding orders, you acknowledge:
- VINS fulfills the order when it is delivered to the U.S. address you provide (including a Forwarder’s U.S. receiving address).
- Any subsequent export/import, international shipping, customs clearance, duties/taxes, delivery in Korea, and related issues are handled by you and your Forwarder.
- If you want to cancel, you must do so before delivery to the U.S. address (or before the order is tendered to the carrier). After delivery to the U.S. address, the order is considered fulfilled by VINS.
